Here at All Points Container Line, we feel strongly about supporting local organizations that make a big impact in our community. Two groups that we are proud to be involved with are Welcoming Home Our Heroes and Michael’s Feat.
Welcoming Home Our Heroes is a charity that operates out of Long Island, NY. They are dedicated to recognizing, honoring, and caring for returning veterans on a local level. Funded entirely by a large-scale annual golf outing, they are currently in their 9th year of providing much needed support and financial assistance for our home town heroes. Welcoming Home Our Heroes makes a huge difference in the lives of those who risked it all for our freedom and way of life. We became aware of this organization through a client, and immediately knew that we needed to assist them in their mission. We have been a sponsor of this organization since its inception, and are proud of the work they have done and all that they stand for.
In 2009, David’s first son was born 7 weeks early. He and his wife learned first-hand how difficult it is, not only to see your newborn struggle with health issues, but to navigate every-day life while having a baby in the hospital. Isaac “Ike” Rosen spent 17 days in the NICU. That is where the All Points family had their first experience with Michaels Feat, an organization dedicated to providing comfort and easing the burden for parents carrying and caring for seriously ill newborns. Serving Ocean and Monmouth counties in New Jersey, Michaels Feat built and maintains comfortable and relaxing family resource center rooms in the hospitals they serve. They provide direct financial assistance to families in need, gas and meal cards, overnight bags filled with creature comforts for parents, furniture and medical equipment for the hospitals they serve, skilled nurses to provide respite care for parents or care for the babies, as well as counseling and support through an online resource center. We first donated to Michaels Feat three years ago, in honor of Ike’s fifth birthday, and are proud to offer our continued support to this incredible organization.
Both of these charities have become very close to our hearts, and we are honored to be a part of the great works they do.
